To celebrate their 30th anniversary, Pro-Ject is releasing a new mid-range Debut turntable to the family. The Debut Pro can play 33, 45, and 78rpm records and has an 8.6-inch hybrid tonearm that is crafted from a single block of aluminum and wrapped in a layer of carbon fiber. The result is a tonearm that is light and rigid, as well as well-damped and shielded. They've also partnered with Ortofon for the Pick-IT Pro cartridge which claims to offer a more robust sound with big dynamic range. Powered by an in-house designed AC drive motor, the anniversary table is set to go on sale in September.
