Project Texan Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40
On the outside, this 1978 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 wears the same Raptor-coated green shell it had when it was found by Legacy Overland in Texas. Underneath, however, it's been completely overhauled and fitted with a brand-new Chevy 350 small-block V8 mated to a TR4050 5-speed gearbox. Rebuilt, restored, or replaced were the axles, steering components, brakes, and suspension, joined by power steering to improve drivability, an overhauled cooling system, and a full custom exhaust system. The interior was similarly plussed, with new wiring, gauges, stereo, signal flashers, sound deadening, undercoating, and beige leather upholstery. Black Micky Thompson alloy wheels, an ARB front winch bumper, and split-style LED headlights and LED rear lamps finish off the build.
