Qing Dynasty Patek Philippe Reference 96 Quantieme Lune

Only the eighth Reference 96 Quantieme Lune to surface, and just the third with an enamel Arabic "Roulette" dial and platinum case, this Patek Philippe would be highly desirable on its own. The fact that its previous owner was Aisin-Giro Puyi only adds to its value. Named Emperor of China before he turned three years old, Puyi led a notable life spawning multiple books and films, including the Oscar-winning The Last Emperor — aptly titled, as Puyi was the final Qing dynasty monarch. Presented in untouched condition with a rich patina consistent with its age, the timepiece will be on view at Phillips' new Asia headquarters in Hong Kong from March 18-31. Afterward, it will make stops in New York, Singapore, London, Taipei, and Geneva before being offered for sale at a later date. With one of the two prior examples of this reference selling for $2 million in 2002, this watch is highly likely to fetch seven figures.
