Range Rover Velar
The Range Rover has been around for 48 years. In that time, there have only been three basic models — the original, the Sport, and, starting in 2010, the Evoque. Time to add a fourth to the list. Slotting in between the latter two models, the Range Rover Velar is the marquee's latest. Its interior is remarkably minimal, relying on two ten-inch touchscreens for many controls, and hiding many others until needed. The interior is also sustainable, with a woolen upholstery material offered as an alternative to leather, and smart, with a full-color heads-up display. It's powered by one of three engines, including an 180 hp diesel on the low-end and a 380 hp supercharged 3.0L V6 engine on the top, all mated to an eight-speed ZF transmission. Of course, it's still a Range Rover, which means it can get you and up to four passengers wherever you need to go, thanks to intelligent all-wheel-drive and a full suite of assistance systems that are ready to help should you need them. Available in four different trims and arriving at dealers later this year.
