Retroid Pocket Nova Handheld
PS2 and GameCube games were built for a 4:3 screen, the standard shape of TVs at the time, and they've looked slightly off, stretched or boxed in black bars, on every widescreen device since. The Retroid Pocket Nova's screen is 4.5 inches and 4:3, a rare handheld built around that ratio instead of widescreen, so those libraries finally run at their native shape instead of being squeezed to fit. Underneath is a Qualcomm chip built to the same performance class as a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, with active cooling to keep emulation from throttling mid-session. A 5,000mAh battery and 27W charging keep it running between outlets. Games designed for a TV now fit in a pocket.
