Ridgebury Road House
Although architect Rafael Viñoly is widely known for his towering skyscrapers, he did design a few residential properties and the Ridgebury Road House is one of them. The modernist Connecticut dwelling was built in 1990 for the widow of the real estate tycoon Sylvan Lawrence and features a concrete facade with expansive glazing. Its 10,561-square-foot interior is comprised of three bedrooms, three baths, and a tower housing a library, penthouse office, and rooftop observatory. The property also offers an indoor and an outdoor pool for year-round swimming. Included in the sale is the adjacent 3,500-square-foot farmhouse for a total of 16 acres.
