Tsai House

Although Ai Weiwei is widely known for his visual art and his work on the Beijing National Stadium for the 2008 Summer Olympics, the contemporary Chinese artist did design one residence in the United States — and it's up for sale. The Tsai House is located in Upstate New York and is comprised of four sculpted modules. Clad in corrugated galvanized iron, the cubes are connected by a continuous passageway for a total of 3,700 square feet. Its three-bedroom, three-bath interior features generous living spaces with floor-to-ceiling glazing and double-height gallery-style walls. Comprised of 37-acres, the property also offers a corten steel Y-shaped guest house that includes an additional two bedrooms, a studio, and a gallery space for artwork.
