California-based startup A-O's Ronin Mark 1 looks to bridge off-road performance and urban commuting in one powerful e-bike. The Ronin Mark 1 packs a 20Ah Samsung battery and 1,000W mid-drive motor into a lightweight aluminum alloy frame step-through frame. A 9-speed Shimano Alivio drivetrain and five levels of pedal assist are good for speeds of 11 to 30 MPH, dependent on weight and terrain, with a max range of 30 miles. A GT-860 air suspension fork with Tektro four-piston hydraulic brakes. Accessories include waterproof nylon saddle bags and an optional cart. The Ronin Mark 1 is expected to begin deliveries in Fall 2023.
