Samsung Galaxy Ring

Samsung has big plans for health monitoring. Part of these plans includes gathering more data, and the Galaxy Ring will be involved in the collection process. While details are scant, it's believed the ring is meant to be worn 24/7, providing sleep insights based on heart rate, movement, and respiratory indicators, the latter of which can be used to detect moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea. Through a partnership with Natural Cycles, it should also offer period and fertility tracking for female wearers and will help support a new metric called My Vitality Score that incorporates sleep, activity, resting heart rate, and heart rate variability into a holistic look at overall health. The Galaxy Ring is expected to release later this year.
