Sapmi Nature Camp
Bordering the Laponia World Heritage Area, Sápmi Nature Camp lets you experience the indigenous culture of northern Sweden. Guests stay in lavvu tents. Each one is decked out with double beds, wood-burning stoves, and local furnishings. Operated by a member of a prominent herding family, visitors are immersed in the Sami way of life while on a ski tour or a snowshoe trek across the thousand-year-old reindeer grazing grounds. Meals are prepared and served on site using local ingredients. At night, the northern lights are on full display.
