Shore Cottage
The Scottish Highlands are a historic area defined by rocky peaks and majestic lochs. Rather than to take away from the pristine scenery, the Shore Cottage blends into the coast of Loch Eriboll in North West Sutherland. Its low-impact design features a curved roofline that nestles into the contour of the land while a local stone facade further integrates the dwelling into the shore. Internally, modern concrete floors and an exposed metal roof live harmoniously with rugged timber beams and wood cladding. During their stay, guests can relax by the fire and take in views from behind floor-to-ceiling glazing or experience the landscape firsthand on a hike around the inlet.
