After building its reputation crafting speakers, Silence Please releases its first turntable. The team machined the Spin almost entirely from solid aluminum, a material choice that echoes the dense cabinets they build for their speakers, giving the turntable real heft. The platter alone accounts for nearly six pounds of that weight, spinning on a magnetic-suspension bearing designed to keep vibration out of the signal before it ever reaches the needle. It ships with a 9-inch tonearm and an Audio-Technica cartridge.
