Slab Audio Console

Built by hand in Salt Lake City, UT, the Slab Console is a prime example of functional furniture. The 390-pound unit is a modern take on classic audio consoles of the '60s and '70s, integrating three 6.5" Focal coaxial speakers with Kevlar cones and a 12" subwoofer powered by a 500W internal amp into the design. A magnetic grill made from aluminum and acoustically-transparent fabric hides the speakers away when wanted, while storage below is ideal for housing a receiver or preamp. The heirloom-quality console is crafted using CNC-milled multi-layer MDF and furniture-grade plywood with an aluminum frame and is finished with either walnut or birch real wood veneer.
