Soho House Founder's $3.7M Scottish Private Island

Kirsty Young spent years asking guests on Desert Island Discs which records they'd take to a private island. Now her husband, Soho House founder Nick Jones, is selling theirs. Inchconnachan covers 103 wooded acres in Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, held by the Colquhoun clan from the 14th century until Jones and Young bought it in 2020. Ancient Scots pine, oak, and birch shelter sea eagles, nesting ospreys, and a self-sustaining colony of red-necked wallabies introduced by Lady Arran Colquhoun in the 1940s. The 164-foot summit looks out toward Ben Lomond, with Glasgow International Airport 30 minutes by road. Approved plans by Edinburgh's GRAS Architects include a three-bedroom shoreline lodge on screw-piled foundations, boathouse, and jetty. Available as land alone or as a completed build.
