Sony PS5 Pro Console

While Xbox was content to boost storage and switch up its color scheme for its mid-cycle Xbox refresh, Sony is aiming higher with the PS5 Pro. The enhanced console has an upgraded GPU with 67% more compute units and 28% faster memory than the current PS5, enabling 45% faster rendering. It also offers improved ray tracing and AI-driven upscaling. Further hardware upgrades include 2TB of solid-state storage and Wi-Fi 7; a series of fins on the sides differentiates its exterior design from that of the standard PS5, which otherwise looks quite similar. The PS5 Pro will hit shelves on November 7, with pre-orders opening on September 26.
