Sony's WH-1000XM3 is considered by many to be the best noise-canceling headphone on the market. The follow-up WH-1000XM4 appears poised to take that title. They look nearly identical, have 40mm drivers like the XM3, and use the same Q1N processor for noise cancellation. The changes come in a new Bluetooth audio system on a chip that analyzes music and surrounding ambient noise 700 times per second. Combined with a new algorithm, they're better able to drown out mid-frequency sounds. Also new is improved upscaling via AI, better voice call quality, and multipoint support for pairing with two devices at once. Available in black or silver.
