Splinter Creek

Occupying 650 acres in the rolling hills of Mississippi, Splinter Creek is a housing development unlike any other. The project offers nature lovers a rural community to build their own private retreat. Their 26 lakeside properties range from 2-26 acres surrounded by dense forests. Rather than fences and manmade barriers, lots are formed by the land's natural creeks and ravines. LANG Architecture has designed modern timber-frame cabins to complement the natural scenery. Houses are nestled among the mature oaks and plantation pines, resting on a foundation of stilts to preserve the native flora and existing trees. Their barn-inspired wood cladding resembles traditional agrarian buildings while light-washed interiors feature a welcoming combination of natural finishes and contemporary fixtures. Each dwelling includes expansive views as well as direct access to the lake and forests.
