Star Wars Original VFX Storyboards
Own a piece of cinematic history with these original photostat storyboards from iconic scenes in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Marked with ILM production stamps and some with the unmistakable "J" of Joe Johnston, each piece offers a behind-the-scenes look at how one of the saga's most memorable sequences were first visualized. Some of the one of a kind storyboards (complete with the holes from when they were originally held in order in a ring binder) come directly from the personal collection of Lorne Peterson, the Academy Award-winning effects artist whose work on Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Jurassic Park, and Ghostbusters helped shape the look of modern blockbusters. Others are attributed to artist Nilo Rodis-Jamero. As rare artifacts from the golden age of practical effects, they're a tangible reminder of the craft, imagination, and hands-on ingenuity that powered the original Star Wars films.
