Stranahan's Snowflake Whiskey
The whiskey coming from Stranahan's in Colorado keeps getting better and better. And every year in December, they share some of their best and bottle it as Stranahan's Snowflake Whiskey. It's made using 100% malted barley and Rocky Mountain water and then aged in new American oak for a minimum of two years. Then, the whiskey is transferred into used wine, sherry, cognac, rum and tequila barrels to absorb new flavors from the casks. Seven different barrels were used for the 2016 edition, which was sold for one day only at the distillery in Denver.
