Swatch x OMEGA Solar Eclipse MoonSwatch
On August 12, 2026, a total solar eclipse crossed parts of Spain, and Swatch built a watch you could only buy that day, in that country. The Mission to the Sun - Solar Eclipse reworks one of the original eleven Bioceramic MoonSwatch colorways rather than introducing a new one: the yellow case, sun-brushed gold dial, and white rubber strap all carry over unchanged. The one departure sits at 2 o'clock, where the usual white pusher is swapped for black, marking the instant the moon blacks out the sun. Flip it over and the battery cover carries a new-moon engraving, the lunar phase that makes any eclipse possible. Sales ran through Swatch's Spain-only website and three boutiques in Bilbao, Ibiza, and Valencia, plus a traveling pop-up in León with two separate sales windows. It is fitting that a limited edition celebrating an eclipse lasting only a few minutes was on sale for less than a day.
