Tag Heuer x Mario Kart Formula 1 Chronograph Watches
A podium finish at Vanilla Lake might not have quite the cache of the winner's circle at Monaco, but every driver deserves a quality timepiece. Tag Heuer and Nintendo's latest collaboration are two watches based on Tag Heuer's Formula 1 collection. The first uses the Calibre 16 movement in a 44mm polished steel case with Mario Kart details, like Mario in his kart on the seconds indicator and powerup imagery from the item boxes in the date window. For the hardest-core Mario Kart fans, there is the chronograph tourbillion. The 45mm titanium case with black polished ceramic bezel houses a tri-compax dial with a tourbillion with moving Mario Kart elements — Mario himself, Bullet Bill, and a koopa shell. The case back is sapphire crystal and exposes the inner workings of the Heuer 02T movement. The Mario Kart tourbillion is limited to 250 units, with both watches arriving in late October 2022.
