TerraVis Solar Truck Tonneau Cover

The bed of a pickup truck is a great spot for a solar array. And Worksport is taking advantage. The Canadian company is debuting TerraVis, a folding tonneau cover that pulls power from the sun and stores it in removable batteries located in the bed of the truck. It's being built to fit existing trucks and is said to hold over a kilowatt's worth of solar panels in all. They push up to 4 kW of power through an AC inverter and a pair of 110-V outlets. Worksport expects to launch the cover within 1-2 years of funding and also hopes to hook up with an upcoming range of electric pickups from Tesla, Ford, and GM.
