23,000 miles, 143 locations, and four years — that's what it took for photographer Marc Wilson to capture the images of The Last Stand. The series of photos documents various physical structures left behind after the Second World War, with a focus on military defense. While some are hidden or submerged, others have been rediscovered or otherwise repurposed over time. Spots in the UK, The Channel Islands, Northern & Western France, Denmark, Belgium, and Norway are featured, with 70 total photographs in all, including nine images unique to this revised and redesigned 3rd edition.
