The Macallan x Bentley Horizon Scotch Whisky

Whisky bottles are vertical. Most of the time. Following a trip to Crewe, England, The Macallan Master Whisky maker Kirsteen Campbell teamed with fellow UK craftspeople on Horizon, a single malt that uses sustainable materials in a unique horizontal design. Taking inspiration from the horizontal motion of the automobile, the Horizon's design uses six sustainable materials in a nod to The Macallan's Six Pillars that serve as the philosophical foundation for their whiskeys. The six materials are copper reclaimed from small stills found in the Macallan's former distillery, aluminum from the Bentley factory floor used in the construction of the Bentayga, Continental GT, and Flying Spur, recycled wood from Bentley and the Macallan, and Scottish-sourced low-CO2 leather. The final two components are the bottle's glass and of course the Macallan's scotch whiskey. To match, the latter is a blend of six individual casks, clocking in at 46.6% ABV and offering notes of toffee, ginger, charred pineapple, dark chocolate, and oak. Arriving at select retailers just in time for The Macallan's 200th anniversary.
