The Press Hotel
Once home to the Portland Press Herald, the Press Hotel converts its newspaper roots into 110 boutique accommodations. References to the building's heritage are found throughout in the retro writer's desks, newsroom quotes, vintage headlines, and local artwork. The former city room now houses Inkwell. Coffee bar by day and cocktail lounge by night, the casual spot serves up everything from espressos and pastries to spirits and local microbrews. The on-site restaurant Union is an ode to Maine cuisine, offering the best New England ingredients found on both land and sea. While the standard guest rooms provide a more than comfortable stay, the Penthouse Suite will elevate your experience with a kitchenette, wet bar, dining room, living room, and a private rooftop terrace overlooking the entire Old Port District.
