The Sultan of Brunei's 1986 Lamborghini LM002

Everything old is new again. Over 30 years before the Urus became the best-selling Lamborghini, the Sultan of Brunei placed an order for an LM002 off-road vehicle. The LM002 was originally designed as a military vehicle, but when no militaries were interested, production of 301 civilian variants commenced. Power comes from Lamborghini's 5.2-liter V12 making 450 horsepower, powering all four wheels through an all-wheel-drive configuration. Pirelli also designed a set of Scorpion run-flat tires specifically for the LM002. The Sultan of Brunei had this LM002 customized by Salvatore Diomante with an enclosed back and raised roof, officially blessed by Lamborghini. In the former bed is a U-shaped bench seat, cover in black leather. The SUV has the typical luxury appointments, along with slightly more modern additions like a DVD player, wood trim, and sunroof. This LM002 will be auctioned by SBX Cars in August 2024.
