A future World Cup venue, it is not, but theGround NYC does offer a small soccer pitch in the Lower East Side. The half-court style pitch is made from professional-grade turf and measures 70' by 30', enough room for 4-on-4 play. It can be rented by the hour for private games, group gatherings, and kids parties, and will also be home to leagues and youth training. While the pitch takes up the majority of the space, the front will house a small selling beer, pizza, and other staples from owner Forgtmenot's eponymous establishment, as well as their other restaurants Kiki's and Sherman's. Located at 49 Monroe Street, it's slated to open later this month.
