Thornley Kelham Jaguar XK European Coupe
UK-based expert restorers Thornley Kelham have enlisted the help of McLaren designer Paul Howse to create the ultimate Jaguar XK restomod. The Jaguar XK European uses an all-new hand-formed aluminum body that retains the original car's lines in a lower, wider package. The body rides on an updated chassis with modern suspension components, giving the XK European road-holding far above what its '50s frame could handle. Under the hood, things are more traditional, with a completely reworked 3.8-liter inline-six making 340 horsepower — the motor that made Jaguar a legend. Each Jaguar XK European requires a donor car, 5,000 hours of work, and about $700,000 to complete. Thornley Kelham is taking orders now.
