Rather than a resort, the Thyme Country House Hotel operates more like its own private village. The property consists of an assortment of restored 17th-century buildings spread throughout a hamlet in the English countryside. Guest rooms are located in the lodge Each one is uniquely designed offering its own Georgian-style charm with vintage velvets and dusty hues. For a more authentic experience, two cottages are also on the grounds. Guests can spend their days at the spa getting botanical-infused treatments or soaking in the fresh spring swimming pool, having a pint at the pub, or taking a course at the on-site cookery school. Those visiting in the fall can look forward to their newest addition. Housed in the former ox barn, the fine-dining eatery will be run by Charlie Hibbert and will feature a variety of dishes highlighting ingredients taken right from their 150-acre farm.
