Tiffany & Co. Bird on a Rock Pendant Watch

In 1965, Jean Schlumberger created a broach for Tiffany & Co. This Bird on a Rock Pendant Watch reimagines the iconic piece. Reminiscent of the original, it perches a platinum bird on an aquamarine crystal. Its feathers are set with three carats of diamonds and include pink sapphire eyes and 18K yellow gold feet. The case was cut and polished for 80 hours and features a 34-carat stone held in place by 18k yellow gold prongs. Below, a dial with 461 snow-set diamonds took artisans 11 hours to create. They vary in size for a total weight of 1 carat and are strategically placed to minimize the appearance of metal while intensifying the brilliance of the surface. A manual winding mechanical movement with a 38-hour power reserve and 21 jewels powers the unique timepiece.
