Augusta National is his most famous work, but Dr. Alister MacKenzie's first course in the US was Fairfax, CA's Meadow Club. Near the fourth tee box was a young madrone tree, which in 2022 was deemed an environmental hazard. Toulon Golf and musician Jimmy Carbonetti managed to procure the tree and turned it into the Small Batch Carbonetti Meadow Club Putter. The sole plate of each one is hand-crafted by Carbonetti using wood from the tree, and placed in a piano black PVD, 904L Stainless Steel ear-shaped mallet. Dual sole weights and a fine double fly cut mill pattern deliver modern performance, while the club's logo serves as the topline alignment aid. Currently listed as sold out, Toulon is offering to notify interested parties of any more releases of the naturally limited-edition club.
