Tyrrell Winston 'Moving Landscape'
Tyrrell Winston, a Brooklyn-based artist, collects basketball nets from Detroit's streets and casts them in chrome. The result is Moving Landscape, a sculpture capturing the apex of a swish, the worn geometry of a discarded net transformed into something closer to a trophy than a found object. Produced by Louis Buhl & Co. in Detroit, the piece is unnumbered from an edition of 20. Every great swish looks like this: Jordan in '98, Ray Allen in 2013, Kobe in his final game. Frozen perfection.
