Ulysse Nardin Freak S Howlite Watch
In 2001, the Freak watch launched without a dial and started a design lineage that continues to this day. To celebrate its 25th anniversary and Ulysse Nardin's 180th, the newest edition of the Freak shows the hours on a disc cut from howlite, a marble-like white mineral. Ulysse Nardin sourced the howlite in Canada and rejected about 60 percent of it to keep only what met its standards for color and veining. A flying carousel that turns once an hour acts as the minute hand, and the 45mm titanium case houses a self-winding movement with a 72-hour power reserve. Only 15 will be made.
