Urwerk UR-100 'C3PO' Watch

Inspired by the Star Wars protocol droid, this gold Urwerk UR-100 was nicknamed C3PO for obvious reasons. The 41mm case is an elongated octagon with subtle asymmetry that recalls the Millennium Falcon and is cut from a solid block of 2N yellow gold. The gold is given a satin finish to recreate '3PO's pale shine. Like other UR-100 models, it uses rotating satellites to display the hours with three red arrowheads to mark the minutes; when they pass the number 60, they go on to show the 555 km traveled along the equator during 20 minutes of the earth's rotation and the distance traveled by the earth as it orbits the around the sun. Limited to just 25 examples, the first of which will be auctioned off to benefit the COVID-19 charity of the winner's choice.
