After 40 years, Mel Brooks has completed the sequel to History of the World Part 1. The four-night event will feature a series of sketches taking place during different periods of humanity. Like its predecessor, the miniseries is led by an ensemble cast, including Nick Kroll, Ike Barinholtz, Wanda Sykes, Seth Rogen, Zazie Beatz, Dove Cameron, Kumail Nanjiani, Sarah Silverman, Taika Waititi, and Brooks himself loosely relive major events throughout history. History of the World Part 2 premieres on Hulu on March 6, 2023.
Guy Ritchie explores a different kind of heist in his upcoming film. Taking place during the war in Afghanistan, a soldier, Jake Gyllenhaal, and his interpreter, Dar Salim, are in the desert when a mission goes bad. Salim ultimately saves Gyllenhaal's life and drags his near-lifeless body through the desert. Once the soldier is safe, he returns to the warzone to rescue his translator from the threat of the Taliban. The Covenant is slated for release on April 21, 2023.
