Blade Runner vs Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?

Like any good film adaptation, Blade Runner doesn't have too much in common with its source material, Phillip K. Dick's 1968 novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?. What's good on the page doesn't necessarily transfer well to the screen, and director Ridley Scott and screenwriter Hampton Fletcher did an excellent job of bringing the book to film.
