The clip suggests a slightly more classicly styled Joker versus that of Heath Ledger and Jared Leto, with Phoenix wearing the trademark purple-and-green suit and wild green hair. Joker is slated to hit theaters on October 4, 2019.

The test footage starts out as a portrait of a somber Arthur Fleck. As Guess Who's "Laughing" continues to play, he ups the creep factor and slowly morphs into Batman's arch-nemesis. Currently, Joker is due for release October 4, 2019.
Hervé Villechaize rose to fame in the 70s with roles in the Bond film The Man with the Golden Gun and the television series Fantasy Island. In 1993, the actor tragically took his own life after years of chronic pain brought on by his dwarfism. Just before his death, journalist Sacha Gervasi spent some time with Villechaize conducting his final interview. This film is based on those last days. Peter Dinklage stars alongside Jamie Dornan and Andy García while also co-writing with director Sacha Gervasi. The film will premiere October 20, 2018, on HBO.
