Free Solo

On June 3, 2017, Alex Honnold made history. The rock climber became the first person to make a free solo ascent of El Capitan. He climbed the 3,200-foot granite monster in just under four hours and he did it all without a rope. The incredible feat and the days of preparation leading up to it were documented by fellow climber Jimmy Chin and will be shown in select theaters this fall.
