Mama Mia! Nintendo's iconic video gaming is getting a big-screen adaptation for the first time since 1993. While little is known about the plot, the first teaser catches Bowser raging on a kingdom of tiny penguins, Mario dropping in on the Mushroom Kingdon, and Luigi running from a hoard of dry bones. The Super Mario Bros. Movie stars Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek and Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike, and will premiere in theaters on April 7, 2023.
La La Land director Damien Chazelle has introduced his First Man follow-up. Babylon takes us back to the 1920s when silent movies are transitioning into talkies to follow an aspiring actor as he tries to break into Hollywood. Starring an ensemble cast that includes Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Damien Chazelle, Tobey Maguire, and Li Jun Li, the film is slated to release on December 25, 2022.
