When it launched in 1987, the Porsche 959 was the most advanced — and practical — supercar the world had ever seen. Designed for Group B racing with a twin-turbo flat-six and all-wheel-drive, the 959 laid waste to the best Italy had to offer. The platform would never reach its full potential until Porsche enthusiast Bruce Canepa embarked on a program of improvements that continues on today — making the 959 one of the fastest and best-handling cars in the world, nearly 35 years later.
