How Marvelman Changed Superheroes
In 1982, British comic editor Dez Skinn was planning a revival of Marvelman, 20 years after the ban on US comics in the UK was lifted and killed the character — who was previously killed in the US thanks to a lawsuit by DC claiming the likeness was too close to Superman. Dez Skinn chose a young Alan Moore to write the new comic — and superheroes would never be the same.
