Netflix is following-up their bleak, post-apocalyptic thriller Bird Box with the bleak, post-apocalyptic thriller IO. Instead of losing their ability to see, this film takes place in a time where Earth has become too toxic to breathe. Most of humanity has already escaped to Jupiter's moon but a couple survivors must decide whether to stay and save their planet or flee it before the final shuttle launches. Starring Margaret Qualley and Anthony Mackie, IO premieres January 18, 2019.
