With the release of No Time to Die, the Bond franchise will celebrate its 25th film. Daniel Craig reprises his role as the 007 for the fifth and final time as the MI6 agent tries to enjoy retirement in Jamaica. Not to anyone's surprise, he gets pulled back into active duty after crossing paths with old friend and CIA agent Felix Leiter. Directed by and co-written by Cary Joji Fukunaga, the film's cast includes Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Ben Whishaw, Lea Seydoux, and Ralph Fiennes, and is slated for release on November 20, 2020.
Apple TV is debuting a different take on the spy thriller with Tehran. The series follows a Mossad agent on a mission in the Iranian capital when it all goes wrong, throwing herself and everyone around her in danger. From the director of the Netflix series Fauda, the series stars Niv Sultan with dialogue mostly in Hebrew and Farsi. The series premieres September 25, 2020.
Inspired by a dream — and possibly the movie Up — David Blaine pulled off a magnificent stunt in the skies over Arizona. With no helmet, Blaine rode 52 helium-filled balloons to a height of over 24,000 feet before cutting the cord and free-falling back to Earth.
Halloween is just around the corner. Although some of the festivities may be canceled, getting the bejesus scared of you is still on the schedule thanks to Blumhouse. Their partnership with Amazon Studios has produced four new horror flicks for the scaring season. The first two films, The Lie and Black Box will premiere on October 6th while Evil Eye and Nocturne will be released on October 13th.
