Artist Thomas Blanchard's experimental short films take paint and add the color to solutions of water, milk, and oil to create surreal slow-moving landscapes. In Blanchard's latest work, the emphasis remains on color, but with a different subject — nature. Filmed with an RED Helium 8K camera and hundreds of 5k still camera shots, Blanchard perfectly captures every detail of his subjects.
He is one of the most prolific, best-loved creators ever; a man who revolutionized television and children's entertainment; and tragically died long before he had exhausted his creativity. Defunctland is releasing a six-part documentary on Jim Henson, focusing on six major projects that helped define a generation of film and TV for millions of kids and adults.
