After racking up the SXSW Audience Award for Narrative Spotlight and distribution from Roadside Attractions, directors Tyler Nilson and Michael Schwartz shared a look at their indie The Peanut Butter Falcon. Having escaped from his nursing home, the aspiring Macho Man finds friendship and whiskey on the run with a small-time outlaw. Starring Shia LaBeouf, Dakota Johnson, and Zachary Gottsagen, the film will be released on August 9, 2019.
