50 years later, Ellen Burstyn is returning to The Exorcist in The Exorcist: Believer. Burstyn reprises her role as Regan's mother Chris MacNeil, forever haunted by her daughter's possession. Leslie Odom Jr. and Ann Dowd star as two parents whose children went missing together for several days before reappearing, haunted by something supernatural. They turn to the only person who has witnessed anything like their ordeal — Burstyn's character MacNeil — to help save their children. The Exorcist: Believer premieres October 13, 2023.
