The Keeper Of The Reels
Originally a fallout shelter for the U.S. president during the Cold War, this old underground nuclear bunker in Culpepper, Virginia is now home to the history of American film. The Library of Congress Packard Campus restores and preserves everything from Casablanca to Gigil and even stores negatives that are over 100 years old. In this mini-documentary, Archivist George Willeman takes you into the vaults to tour some of the oldest and most fragile films to ever come out of Hollywood.
