After recovering from a battle with throat cancer that left him unable to speak, Kilmer is releasing the footage as a documentary. The film will take viewers behind-the-scenes of films like Top Gun, The Doors, and Tombstone, while giving a glimpse into his complex life. Val will premiere on Amazon Prime on August 6, 2021.
