Steven Spielberg's latest project is a coming-of-age film for aspiring filmmakers everywhere. The Fabelmans follows a young boy, Sammy, in post-WWIII Arizona as he develops a love of cinema, to his father's dismay and his mother's delight. Although not a direct autobiography, the story is inspired by Spielberg's own childhood and his real-life parents, Leah Adler and Arnold Spielberg. It stars Gabriel LaBelle, Michelle Williams, Paul Dano, Seth Rogen, and Judd Hirsch and will premiere in theaters on November 11. 2022.
Ahead of her own live-action series coming in 2023, Jedi Ahsoka Tano will feature prominently in Tales of the Jedi, a six-episode miniseries coming to Disney+. Ahsoka's time training under Anakin Skywalker, along with appearances by Count Dooku, Mace Windu, and Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon Jinn. The series premieres October 26, 2022.
Cassian Andor first appeared in the Star Wars Universe in Rogue One as the leader of the Rebel Alliance's unit sent to steal plans of the Death Star. The pilot and intelligence officer is back in a new Disney+ series set five years before the prequel film. Diego Luna reprises his role along with Genevieve O'Reilly, while Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, and Kyle Soller join the cast. Andor begins streaming on September 21, 2022.
After removing his helmet, Din Djarin is a Mandalorian no more. Season three will follow life after Mando as he and Grogu navigate the galaxy as a clan of two. The Mandalorian will return to Disney+ in February 2023.
