Vigilante Blacked-Out 1979 Jeep Wagoneer SUV
Vigilante transformed a Texas-sourced 1979 Wagoneer into a black-on-black statement with a whiskey-colored leather cabin. The chrome is matte black, the glass is smoked, and the leather is paired with the Wagoneer's corduroy. Even the woodgrain on its sides is recolored after shou sugi ban, the Japanese technique of charring wood. A 392 Hemi V8 engine makes 485 horsepower, and 4-wheel drive lets the Wagoneer handle icy conditions or rougher terrain. The window cranks look original but operate like electric windows. This example is sold, but consider it a teaser of Vigilante's made-to-order work: you pick the colors, drivetrain, and wheels.
